
4th Worsley Scout Group Policy
1. Purpose
This document outlines the expectations, responsibilities, and terms of membership for individuals joining our Scout group. By joining, members agree to abide by the rules and regulations within this policy.
2. Code of Conduct

Respect: Treat all members, leaders, volunteers, and visitors with respect and kindness.

Responsibility: Take responsibility for your actions and their impact on others and the environment.

Safety: Follow all safety guidelines and instructions provided by leaders during Scout activities.

Inclusivity: Embrace diversity and inclusivity, welcoming individuals of all backgrounds, abilities, and identities.

Cooperation: Work collaboratively with fellow Scouts, leaders, and volunteers to achieve common goals.

Honesty: Be truthful and honest in all interactions, both within and outside of the Scout group.

Commitment: Attend meetings, activities, and events regularly and participate actively in group endeavours.

Environmental Stewardship: Respect nature and the environment, minimizing our impact and promoting conservation efforts.
3. Terms & Conditions

Membership Eligibility: Membership in the Scout group is open to individuals who meet the age and eligibility requirements as determined by the group's chartering organisation and the Scouting organisation's guidelines.

Parental/Guardian Consent: For members under the age of 18, parental or guardian consent is required for participation in Scout activities and events.

Membership Fees (subs): Membership fees, must be paid in a timely manner as determined by the Scout group's leadership.

Participation Agreement: By joining the Scout group, members agree to participate in group activities and events, following the instructions and guidelines provided by leaders and volunteers.

Behavioural Expectations: Members are expected to conduct themselves in a manner that reflects positively on the Scout group and the Scouting organisation. Any behaviour deemed inappropriate, disruptive, or harmful may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination of membership.

Confidentiality: Members must respect the privacy and confidentiality of fellow members and leaders, refraining from sharing sensitive information without consent.

Termination of Membership: The Scout group reserves the right to terminate or suspend membership for individuals who violate the Code of Conduct, fail to meet membership obligations, or engage in behaviour detrimental to the group's reputation or objectives.
4. Acknowledgment and Agreement
By signing below or submitting the membership application form, I acknowledge that I have read, understood, and agree to abide by the Scout Group Joining Code of Conduct and Terms & Conditions outlined above.
