4th Worsley Scout Payment Policy

1. Subscription Fees

  • Subscription fees are due in January, April, and September of each year.

  • The subscription fee is £50 per child.

  • For younger siblings of existing members, the subscription fee is reduced to £30 per term.

  • Payment for subscription fees should be made promptly by the specified due date to ensure continuity of participation in Scout activities and events.

2. Investiture Fee

  • An investiture fee of £8 is required for new members joining the Scout group.

  • This fee covers the cost of essential items for the investiture ceremony, including the neckerchief and badges.

  • In the event of loss or damage to the neckerchief, a replacement fee of £4 will be charged.

  • Similarly, a replacement fee of £4 will apply for a new set of investiture badges.

  • Replacement fees must be paid promptly to cover the cost of replacement items.

3. Badge Fee

  • A badge fee of £1 per badge is applicable for each badge which is received by the young person.

  • Payment for badge fees should be made before badges are awarded.

4. Payment Procedures

  • Payments must be made into the Group Bank Account.

  • Any outstanding fees should be cleared as soon as possible to ensure continued participation in Scout activities.

5. Financial Assistance

  • Financial assistance may be available for families facing financial hardship. Please contact the Scout group leadership to discuss available options and arrangements.

  • Every effort will be made to ensure that financial constraints do not hinder a Scout's participation in Scout activities and events.

  • Any outstanding fees should be cleared as soon as possible to ensure continued participation in Scout activities.

6. Late Payments

  • Persistent failure to pay subscription fees may result in the suspension or termination of membership, as outlined in the Scout Group Joining Code of Conduct and Terms & Conditions.

7. Policy Review

  • This payment policy will be reviewed periodically to ensure it remains fair, transparent, and aligned with the needs of Scout group members and the Scout group's financial obligations.
